Construction Worker Electrocuted On I-94

An Ellsworth man died Monday morning while replacing guardrails on Interstate 94.

According to reports, the 34-year-old construction worker was electrocuted when he touched a piece of equipment that was touching an overhead line. The accident happened near milemarker 39 about 7:20 a.m. in the eastbound lanes.

The man was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the accident.
